6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats – #BakingCrumbs November 2018

6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats
Welcome to November 2018 #BakingCrumbs linky where you can share your delicious sweet and savoury bakes for the world to see! Also don’t forget to check out scrummy 6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats I’ve chosen from last month’s linky. Don’t they all look irresistible!

Last month we said our goodbyes to lovely Angela of Only Crumbs Remain who had decided to hang up her blogging apron and devote her time to her other passion – pottery. Those of you who follow Angela’s food blog Only Crumbs Remain know how talented and creative she is when it comes to baking. I can assure you that her beautiful pottery will wow you as much as her bakes! Check out Angela’s Instagram account at Yorkshire Ceramics for snaps of her beautiful creations. I would also advise you to keep an eye on Angela’s Etsy shop where she sells her beautiful pieces which sell out very quickly every time new ones appear, so just bare that in mind!
Upon her departure from blogging, Angela has given me her blessing to continue hosting #BakingCrumbs linky and on that note I have got another piece of news for you all. Lovely Jenny of Apply To Face Blog has kindly offered to be my co-host on ongoing basis which means that we will be taking turns in hosting #BakingCrumbs together! Yay! We will both continue to comment, share and pin your bakes, as well as re-making one of the recipes in our own kitchen to showcase in the roundup.

Ok, now onto the highlights of last month’s linky which are 6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats!

I thought long and hard about the theme for this month’s round up and then had one of those light bulb moments! Don’t we all like little naughty treat now and again with our morning tea or coffee? Something to lift the spirits and provide a little bit of pick-me-up? That’s exactly what these 6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats are!

Coffee Financiers by Foodie Journey

6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats

Something for coffee lovers out there! These feathery light, ground almond based cakes flavoured with coffee look and sound irresistible. Sylvie says that you will struggle to eat only one of these and I believe her!

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls by Something Sweet Something Savoury

6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats

I could eat Nickki’s Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls every day for breakfast! Iced with maple cinnamon glaze they have my name written all over them. They are perfect for using up that pumpkin puree you’ve got leftover from when you’ve made your own or perhaps that tin sitting at the very back of the cupboard!

Lotus Biscoff Biscuit Cookies by The Not So Creative Cook

6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats - #BakingCrumbs

Jhuls decided that lotus biscuits on their own weren’t enough and embarked on making cookies out of them! So if like her you like the taste of  lotus biccies but prefer soft cookies over crunchy ones, these little morsels are for you!

Incredibly Easy Danish pastry Dough by Apply To Face Blog

6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats

If like me you love Danish pastries but are mortified by the mere thought of giving them a go you should definitely check out Jenny’s recipe! They are not super quick and do require a bit of effort but overall they are not difficult at all and with Jenny’s helpful guidance you can enjoy one or two of these with your morning cuppa soon.

Biscuit Chandelier by Cook Style

6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats

Now, this gorgeous biscuit chandelier not only looks good but taste great too. Anca went for two different types of biscuits here: turmeric and pepper ones. These will certainly perk you up in the morning don’t you think?

Sticky Ginger Cake with Tangy Lemon Icing by Once Upon A Food Blog

6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats

Last but most certainly not least is Anna’s sticky ginger cake. I simply couldn’t say no to this one as I love all things ginger and ginger cake is also hubbies favourite. I do find ginger goodies go really well with coffee and just a small square of this sticky delight would make perfect morning pick-me-up!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this month’s 6 Morning Pick-Me-Up Treats round-up! I hope these recipes have inspired you and that you’ve found at least one if not more that you will want to make for you and your family!

What I recreated in Jo’s Kitchen Larder last month?

Well, I must say I knew I was going to make them the moment I saw them linked up. I have never had financiers before but as a person fuelled by coffee I knew I would absolutely love them. I baked them pretty much on a whim one morning after dropping kids off at school so started few minutes after 9am and by 10 myself and a friend enjoyed (still slightly warm) samples! Yes, I’m talking about beautifully light Coffee Financiers from Sylvie of The Foodie Journey! I don’t own specialist financier or friand pan and baked them in my silicone muffin pan which worked really well and I do encourage you to give these a go!

You’re welcome Sylvie! They were super delicious and perfect for all coffee lovers out there! The muffin pan worked fine but I do like the oval shape of the ones you made so might need to get myself a proper pan at some point as these will definitely be making regular occurrence x

Aw, thankyou so much for such a lovely mention Jo :-* , it means a lot xx
Such a great selection of bakes too – I would very happily tuck into Jenny’s Danich Pastries and Nickki’s Cinnamon Rolls. Tell me I’m not being greedy by wanting them both – they’d surely set me up a treat for the weekend ahead :-D.
I’m so happy that you and Jenny are taking BkingCrumbs forward – even though I’ve taken the decision not to blog any longer I’m still looking forward to seeing the bakes shared. πŸ™‚
